ALABAMA

Solutions for Hydrocarbon Contaminated Soil Sites

OVERVIEW:

In 2008, a customer operating in the Citronelle, Alabama oil field was in need of a mobile treatment system to remediate hydrocarbon contaminated soil. Previous thermal equipment used in this field did not have the capability to treat the volume of contaminated soil to the local treatment standards within the allotted timeline.

Challenge:

Hydrocarbon Soil Contaminated levels > 12,000 ppm of TPH and treated soil levels need to meet the Alabama State Oil and Gas Board Standard of <1,000 ppm TPH.

Solution:

Green Earth Technologies International, Inc. proposed using the patented Green Earth Machine® as the primary system for hydrocarbon contaminated soil remediation.

Results:

Utilizing the Harris Processing Systems™ allowed the operator to successfully remediate 20,000 tons of hydrocarbon contaminated soil meeting the regulatory standards of less than 1,000 ppm TPH.
