Solutions for Frac Water Treatment
OVERVIEW:
In 2016, a customer operating in the Sichuan Province China oil field was in need of a mobile system to treat Frac
Water onsite to meet the China EPA standard for discharge. The system needed to be compact and mobile to
travel with the drilling rig to each job-site location. Previous methods of disposal were no longer acceptable based
on new EPA regulations.
Challenge:
Contaminated Water with Heavy Metal and Hydrocarbon. Treated water needed to meet the China EPA
Discharge standard for Heavy Metals and Hydrocarbons.
Solution:
Green Earth Technologies International, Inc. proposed using the patented Green Earth Machine® water
treatment system as the primary system for treating water contaminated with heavy metals and hydrocarbons.
Results:
Utilizing the Green Earth Processing System™ allowed the operator to successfully treat 1,500 barrels per day of
water contaminated with heavy metals and hydrocarbons which met the China EPA regulatory discharge
standard.
