Solutions for Oil Based Drill Cuttings Treatment
OVERVIEW:
In 2016, a customer operating in the Sichuan Province China oil field was in need of a mobile system to treat Oil Based Drill Cuttings onsite to meet the China EPA standard for discharge. The system needed to be compact and mobile to travel with the drilling rig to each job-site location. Previous methods of disposal were no longer acceptable based on new EPA regulations.
Challenge:
Hydrocarbon Contamination levels > 40,000 ppm of TPH and treated solids levels need to meet the China EPA standard of <3,000 ppm (0.3 %) TPH.
Solution:
Green Earth Technologies International, Inc. proposed using the patented Green Earth Machine® System as the primary system for treating Oil Based Cuttings.
Results:
Utilizing the Green Earth Processing Systems™ allowed the operator to successfully treat 2,500 tons of Oil Based Drill Cuttings which met the regulatory discharge standard of less than 3,000 ppm (0.3%) TPH.
